Graduation Speech High Tuition - 927 Words

â€Å"Wouldn’t it be nice to have a sugar daddy to pay for everything?† (Mateo) Many college students are finding it increasingly difficult to pay for the annual tuition. Attending college is something that can be very beneficial for students in the future, but the cost of college is simply too high. This can weaken the health of students causing them to dropout, but it will still leave them and their parents in crippling debt. High tuition can be the cause of teenagers deciding not to pursue a higher education, but it can also lead students to do shocking things. To begin, attending college classes and trying to finish all the work that teachers give can be a daunting task. Then constantly worrying about how you’re going to be able to pay for the classes makes it even more stressful. Even though enrollment in community colleges has increased many students fail to finish college thus making dropout rates increase as well. (Writers) Students should be able to get an education without having to worry about paying for it. My friend, who is a music minor at Houston Baptist University (HBU), only decided to come to HBU for his music scholarship. This scholarship was recently cut and he is unable to pay for the tuition. He now is struggling with finding another college that will allow him to audition for the music school.
